Kat Schrier will talk about designing games for empathy and compassion, and how we might use games to make our world more caring and compassionate.

Dr. Karen (Kat) Schrier is Founding Director of the Games & Emerging Media program at Marist College. She is also the CEO of PlatyPlay, LLC, a consultancy that focuses on using games for inclusion, learning, and care. She wrote a book on this emerging field, We the Gamers: How Games Teach Ethics & Civics (Oxford University Press), and is the author/editor of over 100 published works.
